Tesla boosts pay for U.S. factory workers as UAW momentum builds::Tesla Inc. notified workers at its California car plant of pay increases across its U.S. factories, the latest bump by a nonunion automaker the United Auto Workers is trying to organize.
Really a testament to the importance of labour unions. They lift up the pay even for workers not in unions.

Unionization also has spillover effects that extend well beyond union workers. Competition means workers at nonunionized firms see increased wages too. Heightened workplace safety norms can pull up whole industries. Union members improve their communities through heightened civic engagement; they are more likely to vote, donate to charity, and participate in a neighborhood project. And, the higher pay and job security of both union and nonunion middle-class workers can further spill over to their families and communities through more stable housing, more investment in education, and other channels.
I agree. Seeing this currently at my job. Main location is in a State with strong unionization. My location, far from Corporate, is being hit with wave after wave of petty shit and hostility. Hiring freezes, department hours cut, no overtime w/ heavy controls in place, random check-ins at terrible times, etc. Been sorely tempted to drop a super quiet and anonymous letter to the union supporting employees of this organization, even if this location is outside their jurisdiction. See what happens.
