I keep refreshing my pod feed waiting for the next episode.
I am waiting for the next episode to drop. Biggest episode ever.
That’s certainly one way to read it. Except you don’t know anything else about me. The problem isn’t the interest in other identities. The problem is the complete clusterfuck of identities presented in that headline. Each additional descriptor narrows down the field of people it’s talking about until you end up with n=1. It’s so incredibly niche that most people, including myself, can’t even picture what must be going on in the heads of these people. Maybe if there was a poster child that would help. But it would take a 30 minute podcast interview to delve into all of those aspects and help it all make sense. Just trying to square the religion plus anarchy section makes the brain hurt. And then we get more niche after that.
Each day on Lemmy I scroll and scroll and then I reach a headline where after reading it I have to parse what it says. And then I realize it’s gibberish. And then I realize it’s the bottom of the feed and what I’m reading has a negative score.
Today this was that post.
Please, let’s not do this. Lets just enjoy sites that aren’t toxic without making them toxic by written articles with headlines like this.
I’ve seen the effect. It’s just like after Brazil cut Twitter off. My very niche account has been gaining new followers by the hour.
I have no idea how people interested in Heathcliff are being found by new people. Much less people interested in Heathcliff without Heathcliff.
This seems more like an announcement for a wallpaper contest. Though that’s pretty much what an Xfce update should be. Keeping it basic.
Does anyone have an alternative title for this that doesn’t sound clickbaity as f***? I’m kind of afraid to feed whatever media organization came up with that headline.
I’m seeing a lot of down votes but no counter arguments.
I guess if you have no experience with it then that’s a perfect response. Meanwhile I’ve got $72 worth of BAT in mine and if it vanished I’d be perfectly fine losing money I never actually owned. I donate to DDG and Wikipedia each month with mine. That’s money they didn’t have so they are fine with that.
I used to have a lot less but this crypto spike has increased it by a lot so my holdings are exceeding my donations. Might need to give away more.
Negative Externalities also applies
It definitely has a moral hazard aspect. Thank you.
And if successful then companies will hire even less people to take your calls because their KPIs will show that people are willing to wait even longer for a resolution.
This is a bandaid that has the potential to make things worse.
I have to imagine this is a stressful job that you can’t really talk about with everyone and having other people physically present that can truly identify with the stuff that you have to deal with is psychologically important.
Just to be very clear: Tesla is not as special. A lot of modern cars are incredibly susceptible to being pwned because “car companies” repeatedly demonstrate that they are car companies and not tech companies because they keep making rookie errors when it comes to security.
Fill a generator with gasoline. Plug the car into the generator.
Right after Reddit melted I dusted off feed the and updated all my RSS feeds.
If you have any great RSS feeds to share, post them here.
Oh. I see, you live in a reality that’s 25% different. And you happen to be so rude that you can’t find ways to educate anyone on anything because you are too busy insulting them for them to even take you seriously.
Could be worse. It could be a Cisco WS-C3650 series switch.
