You could tell that story at every family event for the next 50 years. Even after the picnic table rots away and gets replaced you can tell the story of it’s predecessor and what a good deal it was.
I think that group has really gotten popular lately, I thought people outside of fb would enjoy it. It’s a welcome change from all of the political news.
In reality this is just them playing along, if anyone were to do anything drastic to these companies they would have a very bad time.
If the code automatically shows the article or summarizes it without clicking on the link, then yeah, that’s infringement. It should only show the title and the link imo.
Some people’s job is to improve security by finding flaws.
At least $3.50
Not a huge savings, but still.
another way of looking at it.
I just went with the $100 Motorola stylus (it has a built in stylus!) and just pay $4/month with 0% interest so I’m paying much less than $100 over two years. These cheaper phones usually hold up better to abuse than more expensive phones. I had the pixle 5a and the screen died just after two years (a known issue) screens for it are more expensive than $100 right now.
Rivian has been doing layoffs at their BloNo plant recently. I’m not sure if it’s just like everyone else in the tech sector or if demand is down.
They’ve been doing that for a long time too. I worked at a Chevy dealership circa 2009 and did dealer installed backup cameras on Silverado and remote start systems on Camero. The Camero was just new key fob and reprograming. The Silverado was a new tailgate handle and wiring, if it didn’t have an infotainment system then it got a new rear view mirror.
On my Ford I was able to use a program called Forscan and activate remote entry that didn’t come from the factory even though the receiver was already included.
Even my 1998 car had wiring in place for features that it didn’t come with because it was cheaper to make one harness for all models instead of different harnesses for different options.
Vehicle manufacturers since 1990.
Bye bye middle management!
But seriously, work will always expand to the available workforce. That’s why there are so many stupid industries. They always tank during a resession, but other industries will expand to use excess labor.
I’m getting 40 ping is that good or bad?
That’s what the auto industry does. They have to sell you access to their system to allow third parties to program modules, but that cost can be excessive, especially if a small shop only needs to program one module in a blue moon.
IBM is coasting on name recognition.
Does anybody else get bothered by the term meds being used for OTC stuff? I always associate “meds” and “medication” with anything prescribed by a doctor. OTC I just call by whatever name it is, like ibuprofen or Tylenol. “meds” is vague because you don’t want to tell people what your medical condition is but it still implies that there is something more serious going on or it really is too hard to say the name of the medicine. Taking OTC isn’t really a big deal so there’s no reason to be vague.
The issue being that when you have a hammer, everything is a nail. Current models have good use cases, but people insist on using them for things they aren’t good at. It’s like using vice grips to loosen a nut and then being surprised when you round it out.
They should make it open source
