Because time travellers keep appearing with guns?
Because time travellers keep appearing with guns?
Even on consoles is this even news anymore? It may not be every game that requires it but there’s no way this is now so unusual as to be worth pointing out in an article of it’s own. The time to get pissy about that was, what, 10 years ago?
Big talk from a small man. The internet hasn’t forgotten the buried sub you were moderator of, Spez.
Good, he can ruin that and actually do some good for once in his life.
Didn’t the latest shitty Call of Duty try basically this exact tactic? They cited some sort of record high in player engagement with the campaign, because if you torture statistics hard enough you can make them say anything.
I just meant it’s a coincidence that the bots reposting popular content would mean that people deleting their post and comment history would still have their most popular content preserved. I don’t think the preservation of potentially removed content is their purpose, I think the appearance of activity and engagement is the purpose.
Just like my plan to eradicate the Mosquito population by first maintaining an enormous pool of stagnant water for them to breed in, then draining it once they’re all here!
I’m sure it’s a happy coincidence for the owners, but I’d hardly call it diabolical. I feel like it’s more likely they just want to preserve the impression of activity and engagement. If the bots were suddenly gone it would be that much more obvious that Reddit is something like a cross between a ruined and abandoned industrial wasteland, and an open pit toilet at the undercooked burrito festival.
Anybody else remember when Musk said he was buying Twitter so he could get rid of all the bots? Once again he does exactly the opposite of what he said he would.
If only they put the same effort into the most recent Pokemon games that they do into making sure nobody else makes a better version.
When you remember he got his starting wealth from an apartheid emerald mine in South Africa, this behavior makes perfect sense.
Bruh… objecting to Palestinian civilians being killed in droves is not the same as defending Hamas. Pro-Palestinian demonstrations aren’t for Hamas. Get your shit straight.
No way, you mean this insane nonsense that was obviously never going to work isn’t going to work after all? Damn.
This has been my concern too. It’s great that we’re seeing some specific cases where Linux benchmarks faster than Windows, but that doesn’t mean a damn thing if the one thing I’m trying to play just full on won’t work.
Telling me that I can just also run Windows is counterproductive. If Windows will do everything I want, and Linux will do only some of what I want, now you’re trying to sell me on increased complexity and difficulties and learning a whole new system, without actually getting rid of the problems that come with running Windows in the first place.
For anyone who stopped reading at the headline, it’s because the material they were using didn’t reach the strength requirements of the project (5,000 psi), despite what previous tests had suggested (6,000 to 8,000 psi). With revisions to the material used, they intend to begin working on the second planned house in the spring.
Nationalize SpaceX for sure. Let him keep Twitter though, at this point it’s such a dumpster fire that it’s more of an albatross around his neck than an asset, we don’t need the tax payers carrying that shit.
It really would have. Considering that my loading screens are scarcely longer than those sequences anyway it could have, should have been nearly seamless.
So far I’m a few hours in and I’ve been having a great time. My hardware is closer to the minimum requirements, so I’ve had some issues with my resolution throttling back to keep framerate up in the busiest areas. So far, no significant bugs experienced, assuming the aforementioned texture resolution fuzzing was intentional.
I will say I’ve found all the complaints about loading screens to be a little silly. Again, I’m closer to the minimum hardware level on PC but most loading screens I encounter have been around 3-5 seconds, and they’re generally made up for with other conveniences like the ability, when planetside, to fast travel not just directly to your ship, but Into the pilot’s seat, so I’m spending a lot less time loading than I would have just walking through doors.
All in all so far it feels like exactly what I was expecting.
This is their first game on this new engine, so that’s probably not it.
Perfect time for users to buy something that isn’t D-Link then innit.
