Yes you’ll have to create a new account somewhere else, so that you can import settings
I’m friends with SQH, I’ve messaged him and will see if he joins retrolemmy. He’s active on other sites

Obviously missing The 7th Guest, strangely missing Monkey Island
another discussion here: https://crazypeople.online/post/2634649 (with people from outside lemm.ee)
a comment tree with the same confusion as you (and me lol) https://lemm.ee/comment/20911153
yep, if you’re a lemm.ee user then your Export button will be here: https://lemm.ee/settings
the bottom of the right column
Mastodon handles it pretty decently where it automatically gets your followers to follow your new account, there’s no reason why communities/groups couldn’t do the same thing
yea losing lemm.ee really sucks, hopefully we take this chance to spread out a bit better, maybe build some fedia.io and piefed.social communities
EDIT: just created: [email protected]
the only similar community I know of is [email protected]
replacement community [email protected]
for other communities, I see:
I don’t think we currently have a community to move to, there is:
[email protected] (bot community)
proper link to the new community: [email protected]
I think PieFed does not give you the backfill of recent posts when you subscribe, so it will appear empty at first
The key reason is that we just don’t have enough people on the admin team to keep the place running. Most of the admin team has stepped down, mostly due to burnout, and finding replacements hasn’t worked out.
Lemmy probably needs support for different levels of permissions, like Discord has, and PieFed has this too (but I don’t think it’s as in-depth as Discord yet)
yea it’s automated until people dispute an unflagged charge, or object to a charge marked as fraud
Businesses embracing comprehensive machine learning (ML) tools and strategies can observe up to an estimated 40% improvement in fraud detection accuracy
The community will be for new and old games
