My aunt said that my grandmother tossed this in the barn after her house burned in 1982. She gave it to me the other day after I’d asked about family cast iron.

This is before and after electrolysis and seasoning.

Has some pitting but overall it’s in great shape.

      Yeah it came out really great. I wasn’t expecting it to be as nice as it is.

      It works well (unsurprisingly) I just cooked Walmart hash browns in it for my kiddo.

      Makes sense it would be 1950s. My grandparents married and located to their house in the mid 40s.

      Quite pleasing. I’ve found myself looking for the nastiest cast iron I can find. It’s quite lovely to see them nice and clean.
