Honestly, you’re better off. Your current method ensures you get what you want, which you know from the start. Browsing on netflix always ends in choice paralysis for me, the longer I browse the less sure I am what I want to see, and eventually I just get exhausted or annoyed and move on to other things. Overseerr: Looks like you need to sign in with a Plex account to start using it. Since that is a centralized service, and because I’ve heard they’ve started cracking down on piracy, I’m not willing to do this.
Ombi: I was able to set it up with my local Jellyfin server, but it looks like it only has a search feature and a generic list of currently popular media without any personalized recommendations, which is the main feature I was thinking of here as lacking.
if you are on android you might wanna try out RiMusic. its not the most stable, but i find that it is very similar to the experience spotify provides. (and its foss software, using youtube music as backend)

idk, personally I wish there were more convenient and effective discovery/recommendation tools for piracy, seems to be a big thing it’s lacking.

trakt works fine for me
Stremio is sorta like netflix. With torentio plugin you can access almost all media for free
