I am looking to purchase a crochet case from Muud for my wife’s birthday. I have been looking at their website and my local yarn / craft store to find one but I am having the hardest time. I have found the Bea case but they say its for knitting needles but they have it under their crochet section. Does anyone know if this will work?

I would love something like this for my carving chisels. I’d make one myself if I thought it wouldn’t be completely trash!
Likely not worth it for something that will pierce the leather. They did recommend it for paint brushes on the website.
Leather wrap-cases like this are standard for stone carving chisels, this is about ⅓ the cost of one that’s “for” chisels. All the ones I’ve seen sold for chisels are, or appear to be, the same weight/quality of leather as this, if not worse… A fair few are canvas. But I’m not really inclined to pay £120+ for that type of quality. £50? Sure.
Also stone carving chisels aren’t as razor sharp as wood chisels. So cut/puncture risk is lower.
I also don’t know anything about chisels. The more you know.

That is a beautiful case, and I think it would work fine for most crochet hooks. Hooks tend to be shorter than knitting needles, but I don’t think that would be a problem. The case specifically mentions double-pointed needles, which typically range from 5 to 8 inches (13 to 20 cm). I just measured the F hook I have on hand, and it’s 5 1/2 inches (14 cm). You can sort of see where the handles of the crochet hooks end in that picture, looks like with an inch or two of extra space at the bottom. Some ergonomic crochet hooks have fat handles that wouldn’t fit in the slots, but you should be able to see what types of hooks your wife uses and gauge whether the handles would fit.
Looking into it most of her hooks are around 16 cm which looks like it would fit. Thank you
Good idea. I’ll go do some measuring today when she is at work to see sizes. I wasn’t sure how double pointed needles compared to crochet hooks. She has a bunch of needles that are just sitting in a bag. This is just classier
Just to add in if it isn’t obvious. I don’t crochet or knit so I don’t know how similar or different a case might be for either. Most of Muud’s things are for knitting but don’t know if that is just because knitting is more popular or complex? Unsure
It’s a beautiful case! I don’t see why it can’t be used for crochet needles. I do both. Now that I look closer I see they have crochet needles in the picture too! Look towards the right. :)

Great. I thought I saw some in their but didn’t know. I figured it would work but wanted to ask in case I missed something or of someone had one
