List your favorite games that can be played on integrated graphics (no dedicated gpu, like for laptops and such…)
FTL - Faster Than Light
Look on Steam for Steam Deck Verified and Steam Deck Playable titles. Start there and see what your integrated graphics are capable of. If it’s a recently purchased laptop with an AMD APU in it, you should be able to play just about any Steam Deck Verified or Playable game, most likely with reduced settings and resolution.
Well, Xonotic of course
Be specific, dude. Anything “can be played” on some sort of integrated graphics setup, depending on wtf we are talking about.
Warframe. Runs great on relatively minimal/stock computers. The best part is that the game is free to play as well.
Just try not to leak classified material in the forums
Dwarf Fortress
That little jumping dinosaur guy
Please tell me you are not referring to the iconic Croc in this manner
Integrated graphics have improved massively so what are we talking? 5600G or HD 630 can play GTA V for example.
Solitaire
Beavis and buttheads hock a loogie
with my 10-year old laptop with Intel HD4000, I can run almost any GameCube or PS1-era game. XBox and PS2 run with limitations. 3DS and PSP also work great. the most I’ve pushed my laptop was Elite Dangerous on lowest settings. played for hundreds of hours but took many breaks since the laptop would overheat and crash
Factorio runs pretty well on my old laptop, but the bigger your setup gets, the more CPU cycles it takes. YMMV.
Anything with pixel graphics or at least no 3D graphics. Slay the Spire, Spelunky, Super Meat Boy, Stardew Valley, I bet Rayman Legends, these kinda games.
3D graphics can run well too if the game‘s sufficiently old (Half Life 2).
Basically all the classics from yesteryear… Check GOG for some great vintage games:
- Rollercoaster Tycoon
- Age of Empires II definitive edition
- Sims 1/2
- Neverwinter Nights
Also check out myabandonware.com. Many free legal old games, some of which are great.
Some more “recent” titles:
- Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes
- Portal /Portal 2
- Binding of Isaac
- Vanpire Survivor Many, Many other indie games
Also check out anything 3rd party released for Nintendo Switch. Most of those pc counterparts would probably run on a laptop.
If you’re into emulating, SNES, GBA and N64 classics can be played.
I think you meant age of empires 2 hd edition. Definitive edition is the recent title which is way harder to run (at least for me)
Hmm interesting. DE is definately the better port, and minimum requirements were an intel 4000 chip, so I figured it would run on most laptops by now.
I guess you could always download the original from Archive.org. you would need to patch some stuff (I recall the water textures not working well on modern hardware) but should still work :)
