I don’t understand, can someone explain? does the character on the left not have a shadow? but she casts a shadow on herself.

Do Japanese vampire generally not have shadows? I’ve not heard that trope about other blood suckers.
It’s a general vampire thing because back in the day many mirrors where made out of polished silver and somehow vampires and silver don’t go well together.
Mirrors are reflections, not shadows.
But why does she have shadow on her own?
