This is a clear violation of that person’s rights provided to them by the 4th amendment. I hope he follows through with a lawsuit with the help of the Institute for Justice or ACLU.
I suggest you check out pangolin. For me it’s worth about $12/year to not have a domain pointing directly at my home network, but instead have a layer of privacy and security.
