All but one of the bidders dropped out as a result”. I’m confused why it needs to be so expensive, even $600 million seems like way too much.

How about we not generate carbon in the first place? I’m calling for a switch from fossil fuels to electricity generated by renewable sources of energy such as solar and wind. Fossil fuels are not only directly hurting the planet via means of greenhouse gases but also profits are being spent to buy politicians and cause democratic backsliding and they were instrumental to Trump being elected and not to mention they do lots of lobbying and political interference on a global scale including in Canada. So when you import fossil fuels from U.S. companies they are paying for your own demise.

The good news is you have the power to fight back. I urge you to contact your MPs and demand a faster transition to renewable energy, no more buying fossil fuels from the U.S. and also divest from other major Republican and Trump donors. Also consider getting solar or wind for your home if that option is right for you. No fossil fuels means less fuel for Republican’s campaigns.

Don’t come even if it’s free. You don’t want to be like one of these unlucky people:

The stock was recently above $360, now it’s down to about $346 at the time of writing, I can’t predict the future but my feeling is that it will fall and eventually not ever come back up this high so if you or someone you know is holding Tesla stocks it will likely be a good time to divest.

There’s going to be huge protests on June 14. I believe protests are just one component. I think what people should be doing is trying to beat the pillars of support that are holding Trump up. For example boycotting his top donors, educating people on things like media literacy and trying to reach people who are not informed on what’s going on. Getting his poll numbers way down especially among Republicans would have a big impact on stopping him.

I’m sorry but I disagree, I think we can make it through. It’s not going to be easy but if we unite and fight together we can stop this madness. If we split up it’s going to screw all the Democrats and normal people who are stuck living in red states for reasons such as can’t afford to move.

For Starlink If you think it’s the only choice for you maybe if you’re just on the edge of cell phone reception you can use a parabolic antenna to get a reliable signal for 5g internet. This will likely be lower cost than Starlink. OneWeb has a competing service but they don’t sell directly, I’m not sure how you can switch to OneWeb. Project Kuiper just launched their first satellites about a month ago. AST SpaceMobile might be an option too. If those options aren’t available to you I predict there will be more alternatives for Starlink within the coming years.

This is very chilling because it means websites will delete content. If the internet archive didn’t grab it in time it means knowledge is gone forever. An algorithm is not going to always be accurate in determining what is helpful.

That’s right but it doesn’t necessarily mean that access is impossible, just need the codes for the box instead of the TV assuming it has an infrared sensor on the box.
