After the Starfield debacle I can’t say I’m super interested to play the game anyway. 10+ years and they only slightly improved the basic engine. It feels like a game made in 2010 with slightly more decent graphics. So yeah no high hopes for ES6 when it comes out.

I always wonder if this boomer/millennial thing is an American invention. Is it media manufactured? I don’t see this adversarial generationalism here at all.

Maybe not even intentionally. When games first became “online only” it was a big deal, now many games just break if they can’t initialize an internet connection. Even ones that don’t use it.

Yeah one of the best parts of the game, the planets look great. There’s just not much to do on them.

Because on one side you have a kid and on the other side you have hordes of psychologists paid millions for devising better ways to trick them into clicking.

That’s just the most visible part because artists are constantly complaining about it in the news. In fact the news loves reporting doom scenarios for everything (because in the end that’s what the consumer clicks on.)

But for laborious work you just need robots, not AI. Robots already took over a huge chuck of dangerous, laborious work and will continue to take more.

I don’t see such an amazing difference in daily news unless maybe you’re reading some already worthless tabloid rags. Journalism has to be searched for and usually paid for. Free “news” sites were always clickbait and pointless reposts of real sources.

It’s really limited to basic, junior level programming assistance, and even then it’s not 100% reliable. Any time I’ve tried asking it something more advanced it takes a lot of coaxing to get it to output reasonable code. But it’s helpful for boilerplating basic code sometimes.

Would be interesting to see. The Chinese EVs being pushed on the market here (Europe) are the typical ugly huge American SUV style.
