HOW DARE YOU ROWLING IS LITERALLY MURDER
I mean specifically the bit about “X will…” as if it is a fact.
Not a single actual quote from Elon in this article. Does anyone know what he actually said? Because the title states it as a definitive while the excerpts sound more like he was just floating the idea out loud.
You can check justwatch.com to see if it’s available anywhere for streaming or purchase. I dunno how they do it but they’re amazing at tracking this sort of thing.
iOS has always been this platform that has all of these crazy advanced features and hardware but just completely fumbles the basics.
The tech industry as a whole seems to have this ridiculous idea that everyone has a perfect internet connection everywhere they go so it’s totally cool to have all this software that’s entirely dependent on an internet connection and fails to function entirely when that connection is lost.
I don’t really know what their goal is here. Surely they’re not stupid enough to think they could actually win this?
I do not. Nor did I claim to.
Wellll…a wish is distinctly different from a plan, so that makes no sense.
no ongoing cost to the manufacturer
The “ongoing cost” is manufacturing diversity. It costs more money to put heated seats in one car and not in another than it does to put them in all of them and allow the people who want them to simply pay to activate them.
That being said, it is a fixed cost, and should be a one-time purchase. Or at least offered as an option. At least Tesla does this correcrly.
To be fair, YouTube cultivated this environment because their users respond to it. If users stopped clicking on clearly-clickbait videos, YT would stop pushing them, and creators would stop making them.
It’s a false dichotomy. You don’t need to choose. None of them preserve your privacy.
Phone screens are very small and hard to see while driving.
But no, it isn’t. And I have disabled any connectivity in the last 4 cars I have owned.
This is very confusing
I thought this discussion was about privacy?
Autopilot has never been “involved” in a crash anymore than your parking sensors have. It is a driver assistance system. It manages your cruise control and keeps you between the lines on the highway. The “driver” (you know, the person operating the vehicle) is the one responsible for avoiding crashes.
Mozilla should do an article about Mozilla’s privacy policy…
I hate to say it, but the crackdown worked exactly as intended.
Of course it did. Why wouldn’t it? It’s not like anyone is thinking “oh my grandson’s friend can’t use my account for free anymore, I’m going to cancel my subscription now!”. All while Netflix is dramatically reducing their server load costs.
Breaking news; several users who were not paying for Netflix are now still not paying for Netflix.
Actual (chopped up) quote from RJ:
“I think the reality of buying a combustion-powered vehicle … is sort of like building a horse barn in 1910,” he said. “Imagine buying a Chevy Suburban in 2030 … what are you going to do with that … in 10 years?”
This article is clickbait garbage.
Voting over VPN not allowed. Might try Cryptpad or I think Framasoft has a voting platform.
I explained this in another comment. I don’t want to have to keep 20 chat apps on my phone just to talk to my friends and family. I don’t want another one. Pretty simple.
