  • Factorio, Warframe, Minecraft, Dota 2. However, the only two I’d still recommend are Factorio and Minecraft. Warframe’s grind seems to have finally burned me out for good, Dota 2 is bad. You’re not gonna have fun with Dota 2. The game concept is good, but like most competitive online games, the community fucking sucks.

In addition to Factorio and Minecraft, try Voices of the Void, The Long Drive, WEBFISHING, and Balatro.

Edit: oh yeah, and personally I have both Sims 2 and Sims 4 w/ all DLC (yeah, I toootally bought all the dlc) installed on my steam deck. Both fun games with their own ups and downs. Sims 2 is great vanilla, Sims 4 is great when heavily modded. Don’t bother downloading the F2P version of Sims 4 from Origin if you’re wanting to mod it with stuff like sacrificial’s mods. Those’ll break with every major update (and sometimes minor updates too!) and you can’t pause updates anymore. So, you’ll have to find alternative methods.

  • People have the right to say what they want (at least in the US, mostly), which includes people voicing their disagreement with stuff. It’s a two-way street and we’re better off with it that way. You can’t force someone to listen to you, just like someone can’t force you to listen to them.

What you can do, however, is attempt to educate people if they’re willing to be educated. If successful in doing so, you help decrease the amount of bigotry that exists. In my opinion, attempting to engage with an individual to determine their intent is a way of dealing with it. Why stay silent when you could help make the world a better place?

  • Respectfully mention that it’s kinda insensitive, kinda like, “hey man, don’t you think that’s kinda insensitive?” and you’ll probably figure out fairly quickly which one is the answer. Additionally, if they legit don’t know why it’s insensitive, then you can educate them!

Just remember that tone can be difficult to convey on the internet, and sometimes you have to exaggerate the intended tone for it to be understood. Additionally, in my experience, asking the question from the other person’s perspective (“don’t you think that’s kinda insensitive” vs “I think that’s kinda insensitive”) seems to help a lot.

  • The only way we’re going to solve the climate crisis is through bloodshed (in Minecraft), I guarantee it. There’s too much money in it for anyone to willingly give up their golden goose. However, most people don’t want to kill each other and most people especially don’t want to be the first person to pull the trigger, because those people rarely live to see the fruits of their labor (in Minecraft). As such, might as well pretend there’s a potential alternative that doesn’t involve murdering people (in Minecraft).
