Depending on the frame, the clamping force and/or weight could deform the top tube, as it is not designed to bear vertical loads

There is no way it can fit everyone with one size, esp. for smaller riders

I do a lot of work myself too, but there are things I go to the LBS for help. Either it requires a very specialized tool or I am too weak to remove/install some parts
