Why not date them both?
Be up front about it of course, but you can’t judge a romantic relationship as you would a platonic one, they aren’t equal. So date.
Going on some dates is not a super serious thing. But seriously, tell them both that you’d like to go on dates with both and see what works out, and be up front and honest.

That seems common - especially when it comes to gay men saying you’re just gay and hiding it. Which is just extra gross to me from a group who should know better.
I’ve known a few who changed that tune over time, but it still seems such a common (and completely wrong) assumption from many gay men.
