never did link my account to an email address. so that’s an email i never got. 🙂
someone at 24 has several more years of experience in the adult world. someone at 24 has several more years of neurological development (which isn’t complete until around 25). in other words, at 24 someone has better context for decision-making and better decision-making ability than someone who is 18.
i’m late gen x (78), that’s more comfortable to me than being lumped with millennials. (the caveat being, i suppose, that we’re dissimilar in some respects from early gen x.)
internet was not widely available until about the time i started college, and gen x media defined popular culture at that time. i also relate to the notion of being the child of two working parents - the first generation of latchkey kids.
i tend to see millennials as people who were kids when i was in school - and they grew up with the internet.
the only problem i had when i was driving a small car (i drive a mid-size car now) was my sense of vulnerability when surrounded by stupid massive lifted trucks bearing down on me. it felt really unsafe. and i live in stupid-giant-truck land, they’re not an anomaly here.
eta - plus giant truck owners seem to get off on being scary aggressive drivers.
i think there’s like a whole subculture around these shoes, no joke
edit - other people in thread explaining it better!
