And, to this day, I still crave that super thin wedge of pizza once in a while.
Perpetually tired mental health counselor, sometimes retro game streamer, comedian, Mensan, coffee connoisseur, bacon lover, chronic pain survivor, nefarious pirate, and generally all-round nice dude…
And, to this day, I still crave that super thin wedge of pizza once in a while.
Truly a god among video game musicians.
I got my copy free when I bought my PS2 hard drive and never played it once.
I lost my best friend to that game. He got into playing it so much after high school that he basically stopped doing anything else. I’d call him to hang out and he’d ghost me to play the game instead. Eventually I gave up trying…
My friends now want me to get into FFXIV and I absolutely refuse.
They’ve been a shit company for over a decade at least.
I got a laptop for my wife back when we were in college. It developed a problem with the monitor where the screen would look all corrupt after using it for a little bit. My wife, while reciting the prayer of percussive maintenance, would whack it and the problem would go away for a while. So I figured the connection had come loose. No biggie, just reseat it or replace it. The warranty had expired, so I cracked it open to see what was wrong. I reseated the cables in it and it worked… for a bit. Then the problem came back. Eventually we got fed up and bought another one, same model, figuring it was a fluke… It developed the same issue. Come to find out, Asus cheaped out in the ribbon cable for the monitor and installed ones that were too short for the laptop. Looking online, there were a bunch of people complaining about the same thing.
Around the same time as I had gotten her the new laptop, I’d also bought an Asus ZenPad for her to read on. We’ll, that suddenly developed a screen issue too! Almost exactly the same as the laptops! My wife, ever eager to apply kinetic reinforcement, found that twisting the tablet a little bit also fixed the issue. I went online and, sure enough, Asus used cheap cables again! They would last just long enough for the warranty to expire before they’d detach.
I swore to myself I’ll never buy another Asus product as long as I live. If I ever have kids, I’ll disown them if they do too… Fuck these scammers.
This sort of thing is why Google’s monopoly on the internet is so dangerous.
This reads like someone played The Outer Worlds and was like… “You know what?”
That’s just Dark Souls
I got one yesterday that was like, “Identify all the pictures with busses.” and I swear to god, they were all just static. I just clicked continue and it was like, “No… There are definitely busses here.”
Not shocked at all. Things have gone way downhill since I started with the platform. Time was, I’d start up a stream, a dev would come and hang out and actively chat while they worked. Occasionally they’d ask about my opinion about things that were being developed. It felt like actual, meaningful stuff… That was back when it was still Justin.tv and just a little bit after twitch.tv released. When I stopped streaming regularly a couple years ago, even getting a straight answer from a rep on simple questions was like pulling teeth. Then I’d have times where I’d get several different and conflicting responses for simple stuff like if what we were planning for an event would be kosher. Even arranging for some site coverage felt like begging the mob for a favor. “Alright, we’ll get you front page, but it’ll be at 4am, and only for an hour!”
“but titty streamers are still okay!”
Meanwhile, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony:
Very, but you’ll need a windows environment to do it. They only have windows or mac updaters. After that, it’s just plugging it in and picking the version. Looks like there’s only 2 updates, but it’s still worth a shot.
Not a Linux user but I had a lot of problems with the sn30 pro plus connecting to bluetooth when I first got it. The issue was something in the controller bios. It’d cause my entire system to spaz out. I had to roll back to the first version to fix it. So maybe try messing around with bios versions if you can to see if that fixes it.
And the lawyers walk away with a nice $181 million dollars…
Seems fair…
Who’d have thought that prioritizing mental wellbeing, family, and health over corporate gains would be a good idea!? Surely this backwards commie system is doomed to fail!
The only one that does is for an entry level position that undervalues your salary by $20k.
But hey! At least we get to start paying for our loans again, and in a time where market prices for products have gone up 25-50%! I didn’t want to be a homeowner, have children, or worry about managing a savings account anyway! I’m proud that I’ll be working well into my 70s with no hope of retirement in sight! That just means I get to contribute more! So glad our overlords decided I should be a productive member of society instead of some freeloader weighing down the system!

Shut up, brain! When we were 9, you didn’t even know what cringe was!
