Retraining your entire studio on a new engine is extremely time consuming, especially if it’s a custom engine with limited learning materials, like ID tech. There’s a big cost/benefit analysis there, and frankly, if Bethesda ever did switch engines, I think they’d be more likely to go with Unreal for this reason. Current staff, and certainly new hires, are much more likely to be familiar with it.

Hasn’t Tesla’s design language always been about not rocking the boat aesthetically? The model S looks nice, but except for the lack of a grille it kinda just looks like any other car. You could make an EV look pretty weird as you don’t really need an engine compartment, but it’s harder to sell someone on both an exotic drivetrain and an exotic appearance. This think looks like it fell out of blade runner…

It also doesn’t look very aerodynamic. I have some concerns about range, especially considering that Tesla doesn’t exactly have the best record of honesty in that particular area.

Although I would have expected it to just give up recommending political channels altogether at some point. I hardly ever get recommendations for political stuff, and right wing content is the minority of that
