The first paragraph is why, Linux users appreciate privacy and open source more than content and usability. They make their own, with blackjack and hookers.

His criticism is very American-centric (gasp) but offers no transition that is feasible. You can’t be self sufficient inside a country that demands tax.
I think the closest his vision got to reality is the BRICS joint effort to make a new currency based on rare metals, but I don’t think that Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa have seen zeitgeist.
Never saw it, but heard good things about it.
Around 2020 I ditched Windows for good, got me a high end AMD gaming rig, installed Ubuntu, regretted it, moved to Manjaro and been happy ever since.

Actually, after additional thought you are correct, I used the wrong diagram and wrote a wrong argument - there are socialist democracies with both an open market and worker unions, work collectives and other socialist elements.
There isn’t diametrical opposition between capitalism and communism, making this graph incorrect.
