I mean, how would you like them to monetize?
What they are planning sounds similar to discord nitro, which I think is fine.

Also in the article: " Regnier said the commission, the EU’s executive arm, had written to the 27 national governments to see “if they can find any trace of Bluesky” such as identifying a EU-based office. It has not yet contacted the company directly, he added. "
Like this is so nonsensical. Talking to press about a company having broken a rule even though they are not under your jurisdiction, but you haven’t bothered to contact yet, is just wild.
If they reached out and said “Hey, before you reach these metrics you need to fulfill these requirements” and bluesky told them to pound sand, that’d be good to know.
But “Company who doesn’t have to follow a rule is not following the rule, and we’d like them to, but haven’t told them we’d like them to” is not news.
From the article (different paragrpahs) " “All platforms in the EU . . . have to have a dedicated page on their website where it says how many users they have in the EU and where they are legally established,” said commission spokesman Thomas Regnier. “This is not the case for Bluesky as of today. This is not followed.”
Regnier said the commission, the EU’s executive arm, had written to the 27 national governments to see “if they can find any trace of Bluesky” such as identifying a EU-based office. It has not yet contacted the company directly, he added.
“The commission cannot regulate Bluesky directly as it does not yet reach the threshold of more than 45mn monthly users in the EU to be designated a very large online platform. But Regnier said that if member states could identify a EU-based representative for the company, Brussels would “reach out to Bluesky”.” "
The head line is nonsense. They are not in the EU and they don’t have over 45 million users in the EU. So the rules in no way apply to them.
Heh, yeah but my metrics don’t care about how many trucks I roll! Just how long my calls are! “Modem restart didn’t work? Truck will be on its way.” “Modem restart didn’t work? Truck will be on its way.” X100
100 calls an hour BABY.
There’s always next weeks call deflection meeting for me to try again!
I haven’t been uninvited from it yet! But yeah gotta love these “problem solving” meetings from management, where they don’t actually want to give any resources or allow any policy changes to come from them.
Every mc pvp server I looked at had wonderful “Supporter packs”
I see gold is for sale in the shop, is store bought gold a big influence in the game? Or pretty irrelevant?
Someone posted to the class discussion form with the bit about being an ai bot still included.
I wish it was a joke.
I didn’t do great in that class, but it was me getting 70% for not wanting to try and explain a mathematically concept in 500 words! They won’t take that away from me.
Well now have a new service to use!
I’m so tired of Nordvpn and raid.
Like if you’re playing an indie game that sponsored the video, that is sick.
I in no way wanna hear about man scaped while watching a Pokémon video.
Baby sitting my mom’s dog and that’s my cat! He wants that spot.
Spend 30 minutes chatting = fine
Us playing a game on break = distracting
Congrats! You are now monetized!
You will now get $0.01 for every lemmy post you make that gets 100,000 upvotes!
If you like randomly made stories, you can try Rimworld.
You will quickly find yourself asking very difficult questions. Is taking on the cripple something you can afford to do? Is using medicine on a less valuable colonist smart? Do you let some of your colonists starve, or start a war with friendly neighbors? Cannibalism will make your neighbors hate you and some of your colonists might rebel over it, but that’s better than some of them starving… right?
Oh yeah I 100% spend less on food as a vegetarian, because black beans/lentils are such wonderful cheap sources of protein.
But sometimes I want like the premade like meat crumbles or burgers, and those cost more usually.
Haha, they have been trying to tell Twitter to do things, with some law suits out.
Which is why members of the US government are now threatening to leave NATO if they continue to bully twitter, since Elon is in charge of a quarter of our government.
