You’ve picked perhaps the worst outcome of the French revolution – save Napoleon. Burn the guillotine, like the Commune did.
So did the UK. Are we going to eradicate Dickens as much as Tolstoy?
People in Egypt are dirt poor and can hardly stay afloat themselves. Why expect them to take the burden for a crisis that they didn’t cause and don’t support? (Is Egypt corrupt as fuck and is are the people running the state rich as fuck? – yes.)
Santoku, maybe?
Here’s a tiny shred of evidence from this somewhat credible organisation called the UN/OHCHR: https://www.ohchr.org/en/press-releases/2022/08/un-human-rights-office-issues-assessment-human-rights-concerns-xinjiang
Would you now present me with ‘evidence’ that an entire ethnicity is primarily Nazi? Because that sounds awfully racist to me, but what do I know?
j_overgrens@feddit.nlto MeanwhileOnGrad@sh.itjust.works•According to the .ml tankies latest propaganda now it was a "Diplomatic Maneuver" not an invasion OR a "special military operation"English0·3 months agoMate, we’re here for fun. You’re making someone do homework.
A fabrication? Did you even read that pdf? I quote:
Serious human rights violations have been committed in XUAR in the context of the Government’s application of counter-terrorism and counter-“extremism” strategies. The implementation of these strategies, and associated policies in XUAR has led to interlocking patterns of severe and undue restrictions on a wide range of human rights. These patterns of restrictions are characterized by a discriminatory component, as the underlying acts often directly or indirectly affect Uyghur and other predominantly Muslim communities.
First of all, I’d like to recommend you this article: https://crimethinc.com/2019/04/08/against-the-logic-of-the-guillotine-why-the-paris-commune-burned-the-guillotine-and-we-should-too
Second of all: it’s hard to imagine the intellectual development that led to socialism and anarchism, without the French revolution. Of course, it’s a counterfactual scenario to imagine history without the French revolution – but still, things happened the way they did.
Edit: French revolutionaries liberated women and banned slavery – until the counter revolution.
