You’re mistaken. Imperialism is capitalism, my friend. War is just easy profit to some. Regardless, tech companies LOVE to work with the state to design products; most motherboards do have backdoors used by the likes of the NSA. So I think there’s a fair case to be made for it being more of a don’t-piss-off-the-government decision rather than scarcity of parts or demand.
Okay but I’m absolutely serious and I bet a lot of the upvotes on that ARE unironic. There is a market for chunky, powerful portable devices -few manufacturers seem to want to cater to that type of customer however, probably because of a worldwide capitalism hegemony that exists to make you as placated and dumb as possible rather than empower you as a individual or something

Eh, I don’t get it at all so I can’t judge. I feel like even a 104 key-layout is kinda lacking, a keyboad just doesn’t seem like the right place for minimalism to me.
I think this marks the true end of twitter. Undoubtedly, some people will literally pay to have ol’ muskys thoughts shoved in their face and get their data collected, see garbage alt-right memes but if he fails, if he can’t even make it a premium-feeling cult experience now… (which obviously his vision, but let’s be real it’s a longshot- he’s only gonna be a clown) I don’t see it lasting much longer.
Nah RIP Craigslist personals, it was one of the only safeish places to advertise sex work -imo these services should be state-or-community-funded, free AND respecting of privacy, ideally. Maybe it did need more moderation; but even more so it needed less outrage about the useful connections and exchanges of services it enabled. We should always mourn the old web, sure it was flawed like anything else 20 years ago but it was still faaaaaaar better than the google-ravaged wasteland of today.
