Any other good examples? Only one that immediately came to mind was “borken”, and even that usually gets used as “borked”
Kicked in during COVID, and is (like COVID) hanging around unpleasantly.
It’s a fairly good barometer of what kind of pub you’ve walked into. Pubs with a decent regular crowd will wait at the bar as in the beforetimes, with the bar staff working their way through the meta-queue - and the staff will encourage this behaviour. Pubs with a crowd of casuals or tourists seem to tend towards queueing which the barstaff do nothing to correct, and should generally be avoided for any serious drinking.

A material change was made to the item after the point of import. This would be like taxing a timber importer as though they were importing furniture.
Been using my Pixel 4a for almost 5 years now - had a case from day 1, which started to disintegrate somewhere during year 4. Figured the phone would crap out well before a second case, so took the Ivan Drago attitude (“if he dies, he dies”). Never dropped it, barely losing any charging capacity, and a better user experience with a (relatively) small, light phone.
