It was my favorite UI between firestick, android tv, and roku. I’m seriously bummed out by what they’ve been doing.

Last time I asked it seemed like open source streaming box OS’s aren’t a thing.

I’ve been looking to do something like that.

I have a NAS running my JellyFin server in a container, i’d like to have the box/pc connected to my tv running something open source with the respective clients for my streaming services.

Kodi seems like it’s a hassle to get streaming apps working seamlessly.

I think their goal is to let people buy in game currency for fortnight without the play store cut.

Step 1: Propose an incredibly stupid, greedy, unpopular move that gets everyone pissed off.

Step 2: Announce a change of plans due to the feedback, and implement your original less stupid, greedy, unpopular move.

They should honestly just move their engine anyway. Unity has played their hand, and showed they are willing to make changes to their pricing retroactively.

It’s nice to have variety, but I’d like to be able to buy a tall can of an amber ale or something on my way home from work.
