I wonder if it means something for handheld devices like Steam Deck.

I found no joke in your comment and I’m disappointed.
Installs are nothing. Fork it. Improve it. Even better if original devs would still contribute.
Is it another electron app?
A different, better protocol for sharing. Torrent is cool but files on it tend to die off, and also can’t be updated. I’m thinking something like syncthing might be the future.
Technically, unironically, its latest desktop version for Windows is better than expected. It’s no longer based on Electron or whatever, consumes less resources than before and works adequately.
That said, I still don’t like it.
I can’t use apps that lag during simple scrolling so I never liked Jerboa. Quickly switched to Liftoff and now will switch to Sync I guess.
Also Jerboa has too few settings and that annoying post button that I rarely use stuck on screen.
I’m irritated by the fact that not a word has been said about where exactly it is right now. I googled and found: it’s outside of the solar system and the sun’s influence.
It’s not that I’ve never heard of it, I just needed a confirmation that I was hoping to find in the article.
Windows 8.1 was great, you just have to enable the start button and disable Metro. It’s basically a faster Windows 7.
