I do in fact use unrefined, brown cane sugar, although I have not tried panela specifically.

The one I use pretty much looks like this:

It’s an organic fair trade brand, but I’d have to look up where it is imported from.

As I said, I can’t imagine making it with any other kind of sugar any more. Sorghum seems like an interesting idea, might have to experiment with that.

  • Handwriting hurts my wrists. My handwriting became super sloppy after what, like 40 years in front of a screen. Can’t index or search my notes. I had one of those pens that record everything using a camera on special, dotted paper, but no OCR can process my writing, and you need special paper.

But yeah, the idea seems interesting. I like dedicated devices these days. It have to carefully think about what I’ll be doing, pick an activity and then venture out to do the thing, packing the dedicated device that is suited for the task. I’m more focused that way, more productive.

However, that device here is not what I am looking for. Tiny keyboard, non ergonomic, colors too flashy.

  • lspci will read the vendor and device id via PCI and use that to determine what the device is. You might want to make the output a bit more digestable / useful via lspci -s 03:00.0 -k -nn, but I’d assume the ids that match an 2070 will show up.

Could you please take the card out and provide us with a few pictures from different angles, maybe getting a good look at the actual chips?

I’d like to rule that out before chasing rabbits here.

Also, you could always run nvidia-settings, which will show information about an NVIDIA card using a different access method.

I’d still like to see the pictures of the card though ;)

Yikes. If the second sentence of your ad reads So instead of blaming him […] she should question herself, we’re in for a good time. And that’s not even touching the idea that his many neglects can be explained away by what exactly, pussy odor?

Not a doctor here, but I’m being told applying a disinfectant might not be the best idea, although the medical details are by far not the bleakest thing about this ad.

To be fair, before it was promoted like this, it was actually used in Germany to combat Cholera. This dystopian marketing we see here is a US invention.

Fun fact: early Lysol was really poisonous and was used as the suicide poison in the beginning of the 20th century, readily available and all. It was also used for homemade abortions.

  • Great project, I like that you went all in and installed the solar panels - there is a nonzero chance I would have tested it with only a battery first, therefore creating a suboptimal solution that would have stayed around far too long, endlessly bugging me in the process.

Just one remark: the mailbox is so nice, you should definitely route a channel in the treated pine to hide / protect the blue cable better, that’d make it perfect.

  • To add to OP’s comment: reviews are not only a means to form an opinion on wether to buy an upcoming title.

Yeah, the game might be older, but there are still people out there who have not played it. But that’s beside the point - I, for example, watch this channel because I’m interested in Mandalore’s opinion, his take on a game. I have absolutely played A Machine for Pigs back in the day (and found it mediocre compared to the actual Frictional Games titles), so watching the video is akin to talking to a friend over a drink: “hey, remember xyz? that was a (great | crappy | forgettable) game…”

This kind of content might take me back to a game I haven’t played in ages and makes me mentally engage with the title again - or it might put the spotlight on an obscure title few have ever heard of, or a rare forgotten gem that somehow was overlooked.

Many players do not have a desire to only play the latest and newest games, but actively look for older titles, maybe due to nostalgia, maybe due to the games having a different focus, structure etc. back then. Not saying that “everything was better” in the olden days, but different strokes for different folks, right.
