Not really https://www.nytimes.com/2018/01/01/technology/kaspersky-lab-antivirus.html
Very creative how Kaspersky used SEO to hide this story. When searching you have to exclude all of their sites to find it.
To be fair, he provided instructions.
This is great, but we also need a law that mandates leasing of existing last mile, to bring a competition like we had during the days of DSL.
Ideally the fiber from POP to my house should be owned by my city and leased to whichever ISP I want to do business with.

The “Internet leftist” is the same disinformation that happened in 2016. The idea was to discourage people from voting for Hillary, because “she is equally as bad”, many Democrats didn’t vote or voted 3rd party in protest and we got trump.
The thing about trump though is that he moved the US embassy to Jerusalem (region which was supposed to be neutral, after that move US have legitimacy to claim that it belongs to Israel).
When negotiating “peace” between Israel and Palestine, Palestine wasn’t even invited.
He is openly fully behind Israel and don’t mind to “fix it” by fully eliminating Palestine.
I dunno, uBlock never showed any.
fuck spez, fuck Reddit
Can you elaborate?
When layoffs were happening we got doom and gloom messages that recession was imminent and that it was primarily caused by interest rate increases.
A lot of people from tech industry were saying that this is because those companies were over hiring in 2021 and 2022. Now Zuckerberg is saying the same thing, but you are stating that it is a lie. Why?
He is right about that one though. When it was happening there were attempts to pin it to the start of a recession.
I am wondering if that was an attempt to try to influence politics to prevent interest rates from increasing.
Having said that, I also want to add: “eat a bag of dicks, Zucc”
Just Chrome in this instance, as it spies for Google. Any anti ad blocking features go though to all chromium based browsers and it is better to switch Firefox. If that browser disappears we won’t have a good alternative anymore.
I find it fascinating how much advertising they pushed on release.
I am not an apple person so I had no idea about it, but on that day I saw it in a there different places. First two I understand: Lemmy post, an ad on some website, but most amazing one was on my kid’s YouTube, started playing Marques Brownlee review after alphablocks episode. Like WTF? I don’t watch anything about Apple, don’t watch his reviews, but somewhat YouTube though that it was most relevant video for the content that was watched.
From what I understand the thing isn’t see through and the eyes are actually projected outside. Can somebody explain why they had to add tech to do it?
Yeah, 2021 and half of 2022 they were hiring like crazy.
The layoffs are no surprise. They over hired and caused shortage in smaller companies.
I guess the return to the office might be a way to make people quit so they won’t have to follow the WARN Act, but I’m not sure about it, as first people to switch jobs will be the most valuable ones.
The original quote is much better: https://youtu.be/rrFmuiF2ENY
That sounds more like what class action lawsuit is supposed to be for.
It is for Firefox, and it is a visible difference if you install a UA switcher and change UA on YouTube.
Google slows down Firefox. After I installed UA switcher and changed UA for YouTube it became very snappy.
Managed to find this: https://archive.is/PrxAV
Oh, go ahead and let them place YouTube behind the paywall. We need some new players in this area.
I’m the product in the current YouTube business model, why should I care about their profits?
Also I promise I won’t be whining if YouTube shuts down. I will be celebrating. For now, as they hold monopoly, I will watch them however I wish and help anyone else to do the same.
The threads one looks like has posts from 2 days ago so I think it is used.
The Mastodon one says it is an unofficial automated mirror.
