I am currently reading the manga adaptation of this story and have been enjoying it. Monica has basically turned her social anxiety into a superpower while simultaneously inspiring everybody around her to want to protect her. It’s very cute.

I just caught up on this series and seem to have caught up at a good time. This next chapter is going to be good. Also, looking forward to the anime adaptation of this.
These sisters are a problem. I wasn’t expecting this to be such an extended confrontation. I do think it’s nice to see that Domi is smart enough to get that something is shady with them.
That extra, edited page at the end caught me off guard. I was expecting a normal credits page.
Welcome the newest member of the Deer Club, Toshizou!

That was some good hand to hand/wing fighting. Too often, I kind of gloss over a lot of fight scenes in manga, but this was easy to follow.
I was so excited at the beginning of this episode because we finally got some Kurumi. Turns out I was wrong and we just got a ghost instead!
I wasn’t expecting both new band members to show up at the same time. They have such polar opposite personalities. I am looking forward to the coming battle over who should play the guitar as well as the Battle of the Bands coming up.
This is the episode I was waiting for and Shaft delivered. This whole Roboko arc is such a tonal whiplash and the author somehow manages to keep it hilarious. This show ranks up there with Nichijou as one of the most needlessly well animated shows, but I appreciate it so much.
This is one of those series that has sat in my Mihon library for ages to read at some point, but I haven’t ever found the time to devote to it. Maybe if I can ever finally quit reading Yankee JK Kuzuhana…
For once, her clumsiness worked in her favor as she has seemingly stumbled directly into Kimiya.
I think my favorite part of this is how Mr. Everest has his oshi, but is also a shipper for Kimiya and Urumin (they even have a couple name now, Kimi-Uru).
I am really curious how changing to the female protagonist is going to help Shachiku. My best guess is that maybe the different character model allows for different glitches.
It’s hard to imagine that Kimiya wouldn’t be there short of being isekai’d against his will. I was expecting him to be there and then collapse at the meet and greet afterwards. I had already mapped out the whole nursing Kimiya story in my mind, including clumsily made porridge and everything.
Unrelated, wouldnt this be an apt descriptor of every performance for Urumin?
I love this series. Urumin was one of the nominees for best character last year in this community’s year-end awards.
He might be confused, but Pome absolutely leaned into it with the outstretched legs like that.
Man, Grandma really gets it, you know? Such a perfect way to close out her arc to the story, calling back to the act of going home:

The way she just strolls right past the police after dropping a verbal bomb like that is crazy. I am glad to see Yuushin take a more proactive role in this plan instead of just following Miyu around.
It’s coming July!
