Looks cool and is particularly suited to my needs. Thanks for sharing!
My friend has probably this exact TV in their family home until probably the early 2000s. I bet it was because no one wanted to move it.
I’m not in that sort of area lol. I have thankfully seen less cows here than where I was moving from.
There are so many mitsumis and it shouldn’t surprise me that I don’t know them all (they seriously are all over the place). I am now in the midwest, so we probably won’t run into each other.
Sorry, didn’t see this reply until now. I don’t know all of them for sure (especially the few that look like really old Cherry like the MY and M9?), but own or have owned a quite a few of these. I parted with a bunch of my collection when I moved states last year, but still have several old boards that have SKCM Alps, vintage Cherry MX, and my clicky space invaders and some not pictured like my SMK Cherry MX mount and a few Model F and Model M.
I love image. I’m glad to see a good number of less common vintage switches made the cut.
I don’t know of any other full sized EC keyboards that support wireless, but depending on if they meet your needs, I know that Varmilo makes selfcontained EC switches that are hotswap compatible with Cherry MX switches. They aren’t going to feel just like a Topre dome used in a Realforce since they are quite different in construction, but they are electro-capactive. If you don’t need a full sized keyboard, you may have more options via Topre clones like some of the NiZ/Plum/Royal Kludge keyboards.
I’d actually like to try their new ergo clears because actual ergo clears or the switches that were very similar (Zeal V1) tend to be my favorites.
This is nonsense, you don’t just need an “adapter” to convert a 3.5mm to USB-C. What you talking about is a DAC or external soundcard. Just because they can make them small doesn’t make it an adapter and since the laptop clearly already has a DAC and amplifier since it has working speakers, it is silly to make me buy another, especially since the majority of external tiny DACs sounds like crap and are underpowered.
