I want to share my experience, I was banned from a subreddit with an account and accidentally ,I comme.ted on that sub using my main account and deleted the comment right after , and still got banned . I tried to make another account , one got banned for no reason and the other o e shadowbanned . I’m so sad ,I love reddit a loot hhh What can I do to get back to reddit ?
you will get shadowbanned immediately if you are using the same IP, browser, device as your banned account, only way is to use different IP, browser and device, and yes a new device cost money, but these are technically for people who wants to spam thier business links on reddit.
being banned from that cesspit is a badge of honour around here.
I get that not every community can or will move, best you can do is setup a browser redirect to old.reddit so you never accidentally see the new cancer redesign when checking in on communities. you likely never contributed anyway, most people don’t … especially on reddit.

its too easy to get banned, especially if you made a new accounts, those get shadowbanned the fastest, also your dormant accounts you suddenly use can also get a ban.

Hi! I also got a lifetime ban over a comment I don’t think I made…I appealed, asking to see the comment - all I got was a link to the original posting, with all comments missing.
The weird part was to post was 7 days old, and all they’d let me know was I was banned due to 1 complaint…7 days later 🤔.

for me it was publicfreakouts, and just a random front page posts with thousands of comments didnt know i was banned, funny how they can detect your ban and instantly permaban all accounts but they still show the subreddit your banned from to your alts
that sub is owned by LEO mods from what ive heard.
Like yeah just supposed to remember some random ban that got lost in notifications while on an alt account, couldve sworn alts used to be fine
thats what they did to mines too, your not alone. i think they even consider deleted accounts that were sub banned, then any of your old accounts that participated in that sub even before one of your accounts was banned, it counts as ban evasion. so its a retroactive ban.
like me, im hearing from the shadowban sub, 5-10+year accounts are getting instantly annihilated by reddits AI bans.
before you just use a different account and avoid that sub, but now having more than 1 puts you at risk, if even one account is banned a specific sub, and any of your other accounts participated in that sub in the past they count it as ban evasion.
if you search a deleted account that was shadow or permaban, it still shows up on incognito as “account was suspended”, so they definitely keep tabs on deleted accounts that were banned,.
Did manage to find a way to get back to reddit ? Or ure okee leaving ?
unless your using anti-detect browsers, mobile proxies, and mimicing your browser finger printing,etc. only people who post links to thier business can afford to do this, its not worth it if your just engaging in the community.
reddit is too ban happy, if they banned multiple accounts.
Reading all these comments, it looks to me there’s a good number of reddit non-desirables over here, lol!
I’ve done my reddit cold turkey, and I feel better for it now, tbh - I can still keep up with global news, over here, which is great considering the amount of inaccurate info coming from mainstream media. (Whoops! Sorry, got on my soap-box for a mo, lol!).
The only thing I miss is the lack of comment and discussion…🤔 But, hey, that’s what’s happening right here, lol!

one of my comments was removed by a mod, so that partially triggered red flag on my account, then i used a firefox fork on mobile, and it instantly shadowban me, after forcing me to change my password.
apparently reddit doesnt like you suddenly switch to a different browser, especially a fork from your originally used account. chrome,firefox and then switch to any forks.
on reddit alot of the sources are propaganda, from russia and israel(specific to gaza related news) ive been calling it out on those subs. and then reminding people on other subs that just because gaza war has been accelerated under biden doesnt mean trump wont, and any before that.
I may sound paranoid, but yeh, I think the zio’s lurking on r/palestine decided my fate bc I was among the top 1% commenters on there…out of nowhere, I got permanently banned for a comment I didn’t make on a 7 day old posting that one person complained my non-comment was hate speech against a vulnerable minority…the post was about zionist settlers, so I’m guessing they must be the vulnerable minority? What a joke!
israeli bots/ supporters took over worldnews as soon as the war started, there were slew of bans going around, i imagine they are sitll htere, consider alot of westerners are complicit in israels action.

You’ll need a new email, that doesn’t link back to your original. Then use a phone/laptop/etc. that also isn’t synched to your normal hardware, and has never previously accessed reddit. In other words, complete stealth/anonymity. Anything that can link to your original account will get you kicked out.
That’s the only way I can think of - I tried lesser methods, but within 30 mins they’d pick me up and boot me out, lol!
I’ve deleted my account now, so there’s no going back, and tbh, I quite like lemmy 🙂.
new IP adresss, new browser(use a differnet browser than chrome or ff), DEVICE (there are cheap android phones you can use.
anti-detect browsers and proxies arnte neccesary as they are meant for people spamming thier of or business links on reddit.
Same happened here, they dont care or even look at appeals, gotta give it up
some appeals i heard can take Months, up to 6 in some cases. even then you might get rejected, especially if this is not your original account, like you are using an ALT account, and one of your other accounts was previously banned.
