Today’s game is Mario Kart 64, i found out SpaghettiKart (a Project done by the same people who did Ship of Harkinian) was released today, so i was eager to give it a try since 64 is one of my favorite Mario Kart titles.

I did a time trial first on Rainbow Road (ft. a screenshot of Everyone’s favorite Ape in a tie), which is my all time favorite track. I just kind of enjoyed the drive. On the Second Lap i discovered free cam though and took a photo of the front of toad, which is something i realized i hadn’t really ever seen.

Not wanting to just drive around though, i hopped into a race on Wario’s Stadium (a track that i think needs to come back some day) and raced that. Completely kicked everybody’s ass, except Mario who was right up my ass for the entire race.

After that though i went to have some more fun with the Freecam. I did Bowser’s castle and did like a little Photoshoot. There’s this one i took of the garden’s. Something about the freecam interestingly messed up to lighting on the statue i think, which is interesting to see.

I also got a photo of Marty the Thwomp and the other ones, I think out of all the photos of the ones i took this is my favorite. Something about the angle and the subject are interesting to me and look good.

I also took a photo of the Spiral, a part of this level which sticks with me quiet a bit because i’ve had so many close calls up this thing during the last leg of the race.

The same can be said for this section, which is the last photo i took. I almost exclusively go the right side of the track for some reason. I never can figure out why but only catch myself doing it post race. Maybe it’s because i’m right handed? Or maybe it’s just familiar. Who knows?

I’ve only been able to pull it off once but it was so fun watching my friends look confused as i threw myself off the edge only to get a massive jump. Though, i also avoid using exploits too much when playing with them so that probably contributes to my difficulty pulling it off

Fair enough lol. I love the track for how freakishly long it is and feeling like a victory lap, but i can see the appeal of the later one’s challenges

I haven’t seen anything about it but would kill for online multiplayer. I’m hoping it happens in some capacity

I still think Kart 64 is one of the best of the series, but I don’t get the prejudice against ghosts. :)

It might just be me but there’s not a single course on here that i don’t like. They’re all really stable and sound tracks to play. To me it’s the best core Mario Kart experience.

I’ve been avoiding anything about Mario Kart World (mainly because i can’t afford a switch 2 and as much as i’d like to justify getting World, it’s just Mario Kart again in my eyes). But i looked it up and holy shit you’re right. I’m happy to see it back, i hope it wasn’t butchered like they did N64 Rainbow Road on 8 though (at least, that was my personal opinion), i’m trying to stay optimistic and open though

😁 I haven’t been interested in Mario Kart since around Mario Kart Wii (when I lost interest; MK64 forever! ❤️)

But I have to say, World looks super clean. Very slick animations and great music. That said, I don’t think I would get it for myself though. Possibly if my kids want it.
