I miss multiplayer in PC games being done by joining a server and playing. No match making bullshit, it was fun to be in a server with a mixture of skill levels. As compared with a lot of game snow, when ever your skills improve, you just get thrown into a harder tier of match making until you reach your limit and burn out.

Fantastic, Undead Legacy was on my radar! My best friend and I have played hundreds of hours of Darkness Falls and have loved every moment of it. We’ve a bit worn out on DF, but I’ll keep Undead Legacy in mind the next time we want to do another play through of a 7DTD mod! What’s the “anti-bullshit” mod do by the way?

7DTD is fun, but The Fun Pimps have made some perplexing design decisions. Luckily there are a ton of great mods that all have unique spins. I prefer the Darkness Falls mod, it fixes a lot of the stupid design decisions of the original makers, and ramps the difficulty since vanilla 7DTD can be pretty easy after you get built up. Darkness Falls adds supernatural demons to the mix in the late game, and a ton of new mechanics, I absolutely love it.

I think you can provide lyrics yourself, can udio generate lyrics on its own? I listened to some of the staff pick songs, and they were pretty good. I’m not musically inclined, and I have zero skill in coming up with lyrics, but stuff like this and Midjourney let me be creative in ways I don’t have natural talent in.

I bet Udio is going to loathed by musicians even harder then artists hate Midjourney.

The only thing I haven’t found a good replacement for was how G Drive also handles Office style documents. I make use of that a lot, especially from my phone. But I agree, Proton Mail hasn’t been painful one bit.

I recently switched my email from gmail to proton mail, because fuck google’s… well… everything. Glad to hear that Proton Mail keeps fighting for privacy!

Ok, I’ve dug into each option! I think I’m leaning toward trying out the Ergodox EZ! My only hurdle know is, I love cherry mx speed silver switches after having used them for years, but the Ergodox EZ can’t have back lit keys and cherry mx speed silver switches. It looks like that might just be down to what Ergrodox has access too because cherry mx rgb speed switches definitely exist and can be purchased.

So I might buy a backlit Ergodox EZ and buy a set of cherry mx speed silvers and swap them. I’m still mildly concerned about getting used to the keyboard, but the idea I can just keep my old keyboard hooked up for work is reassuring. I do a lot of navigation and cursor/selection using arrow keys, hold shift, home, end etc and those muscle memory movements won’t work with the Ergodox EZ.

I appreciate all the great information! I’m looking into each keyboard suggested and seeing if I feel like it’ll work well for my use case. I’m wondering if as @[email protected] mentioned, just getting the left hand portion of the keyboard would be best. I work from home as well, and my corsair doesn’t bother me at all for typing while working, and I use the DEL, HOME, Page Up and Page Down, and End keys, and numerical pad constantly.

Oh yes, I’m very expected about Space Marine 2, especially when I found out it’s co-op for up to 3 players! The problem is, GW has a problem with having shitty games get made, Martyr wasn’t very good, Darktide was received very poorly, buggy, unoptimized. Deathwing, same thing, buggy, glitchy, shallow.

Yes pretty much any other genre of game would be great, The RTS games in the Dawn of War series were great, 1 and 2 were fantastic, 3 was hot trash. First Person Shooters would be nice, 3rd person action games, god even a Telltale Games style story driven narrative game in the setting of you being an Inquisitor chasing a heretic would be wonderful. There are just so many things they could do with the setting! For me the sweet spot is audio books, I love listening to stories sets in the WH40k universe! The Eisenhorn series was fantastic! I also love a ton of various space marine centric stories. But I adore the Necron and had a massive amount of fun with The Infinite and The Divine (Warhammer 40,000), and The Twice Dead King series.

I know of those games, but when you compare the number of turn based tactical games vs how many are different genres, the ratio is pretty crazy.

I love the setting of WH40k, but I don’t like tactical games. I don’t play the table top for this reason, so for GW to have this giant fleshed out universe and just about exclusively make games similar to their top top offers feels like a huge waste. They could be commissioning so many other game types!

I remember arguing with a co-worker about how this deal was pure crap, and even if Foxconn delivered all the jobs they said they would, it would take 40 years to recoup the cost of the tax breaks. The part about tiktok and youtube shorts that feels different to me is the short form videos giving a quick little hit of enjoyment, and the drive to view more short form is strong. I absolutely hate short form, but have found myself checking youtube for some new little short video.

That type of conditional feels detrimental to me.
