Basically indestructible. Brother replaced it with a wifi samsung laser, bad move.
Wifi? Rarely works and requires a data harvesting app to be installed on your pc.
NFC? Doesn’t work.
I now connect to it via usb. Works fine like that. I preferred the old printer.

To be fair, it’s been like that for a while. Just look at /r/videos. #11 sub on reddit. 30 million subscribers.

I strongly suspect reddit is lying about the true numbers. If you factor in repost bots, porn bots, and bots which increasingly repost comments from previous posts or comments from off site, reddit often feels abandoned.
Subreddits like /r/videos? Everyone left for tiktok.
Just look elsewhere on the site. Supposedly they have 500 million regular users, but if that’s the case why is no one upvoting or commenting on anything? And it’s summer, so the kids have far more free time.
But of course they’re not upvoting or commenting, they’re all on tiktok or wherever. Reddit has become a legacy social media.
Obviously, the fediverse is even more niche, but we’re not pretending to be incredibly popular and don’t need to boost our numbers for a looming IPO.
TBF my experience with Japanese and American workers is that you spend a lot of time in the office, but aren’t particularly productive. Hardly surprising, given there’s loads of evidence that suggests a strict enforcement of leisure time, actually increases productivity.
No one works at 100% if they work 70 hours a week and check their emails during the weekend.
Or as I once put it to a boss, when he asked me why I was leaving the office at 1700 on the dot, I finish my work in 8 hours, my colleagues need 9.
At the risk of asking an incredibly stupid question, but if I only ever torrent video/audio, scan everything I download with defender, and only ever use a recently updated version of vlc, what’s the risk?
I remember getting viruses in ye olden days, but afaik the main problem is malware now.
