I’ve been tempted to give Bluesky another go after it left beta, but apparently you still can’t set up feeds so they all show up in one instead of having to swipe through all of them.
It felt too much like work keeping up with things, so I gave up.
Lol, what?
You represent your employers at work, not every waking hour.
It’s literally how employment works. Unless you’re self-employed, you represent the people who pay you.
If you work for a company, you’re a representative of that company. If you disagree with the businesses they work with, don’t work for that company.
Or if you really have a problem and want to express yourself, don’t do it at your workplace. It’s stupid.
Why would you organise this on company headquarters without the consent of the company?
If you tell your employers that you hate the way they operate, what do you think is going to happen?
What they “felt on the inside” is not the same as what they actually were at the time though. Referring to them as he or she is just a statement of fact at the time.
We had this same thing when Ellen Page became Elliot Page. Then there was an attempt to retroactively change all references and make them Elliot Page, even though the work he did before was as Ellen Page.
It’s not transphobic to acknowledge the person they were before transition.
I have mixed feelings on the pronoun use, but having read some of her autobiographical writing I don’t think she would have taken much issue with it.
It’s fine how they’ve used it because it’s referring to the time before transition, so it’s just being accurate and also means the story makes more sense.
Lol. I’m sure this will definitely work.
It’s an online petition. If petitions actually had the power to change anything, they wouldn’t let you sign them. The response will always be some mealy-mouthed rubbish.
Frankly, this isn’t anything to do with the government anyway, nor should they be getting involved.
Parents are concerned that providing their children with a smartphone will open them up to predators, online bullying, social pressure and harmful content.
These same parents will also just shove a smartphone or a tablet in front of their kids faces to shut them up for a while.
Have you tried it for a few days? Once your eyes have adjusted to it, it looks better.
Who could have seen this coming?
Not even another Naughty Dog remaster?!
I have an LG C2 and I find Dolby Vision content pretty good, but only since they added the IQ setting, which boosts the brightness a little bit.
Also, I’ve got used to the warm picture settings. So much so that everything else looks too blue to me now.
Oh no, I can’t believe I won’t be able to watch the two shows that use Dolby Vision anymore.
This doesn’t have anything to do with Brexit.
As the article says, it was first put forward in 2006 and parts of it became law in 2016.
Remember, the government are doing this for your benefit.
There’s definitely no other reason behind it. No sir.
