So it seems we don’t create our own hero? Which, I get that it would limit facial animations and dialogue, but becoming your own hero was such a huge part of Fable.
Anyway, it looks stunning, graphics-wise. I’m looking forward to it for sure.

Hoo boy, Kevin Hart doesn’t even look like he knows how to hold a gun at all. Did nobody think to give him any semblance of weapons training?
Sounds like you’re older though. Social media wasn’t nearly as ubiquitous a decade ago as it is now.
There was separation between online and everything else. But for these kids, online is everything. The spaces are nearly equal in experience and importance.
Personally, that’s exactly what’s happening to me. I’ve seen enough that AI can’t be trusted to give a correct answer, so I don’t use it for anything important. It’s a novelty like Siri and Google Assistant were when they first came out (and honestly still are) where the best use for them is to get them to tell a joke or give you very narrow trivia information.
There must be a lot of people who are thinking the same. AI currently feels unhelpful and wrong, we’ll see if it just becomes another passing fad.
Yeah, I would prefer not to use Google, so I’m going to figure out how to use another authenticator. I wish Proton had the ability to be an authenticator, but I haven’t seen a way to do that yet.
But all my family has a Google account, so it just makes things easier.

I just got this working today and can say it’s quite an elegant solution. It means anyone with a Google account (that I allow through Cloudflare settings) can take advantage of immich. I plan to be the storage server for my family so they can have automatic photo backups.
If you decide to go that route and have questions, hit me up. I spent a while troubleshooting issues caused by not creating a SaaS application in Cloudflare, so read the directions exactly.
4 generations later: “I’ve inherited my father’s steam account just as he inherited it from his father and so on. The library has grown ever larger, and yet so many remain untouched. The summer sales have sustained my forefathers and yet I feel hollow. Each year, more games are added to this historic account, but each year brings more regret as the purchases go untouched. I shall make a promise to myself: finish the extensive library, honor my family, complete the library. But first, some more Counter Strike.”
Fucking within like 2 minutes of using their apps too, they ask, “do you like the app?” Then another popup that says, “provide feedback for why you don’t like our app?”
Because you keep getting in the way of me actually doing what I need to do. And it’s getting uninstalled as soon as I’m done with it.
Google has been bad for a long time, but they’ve shut the bed so hard lately. Seriously, look at this:
I actually run out of screenshot space before I can get to an actual regular search result!
Google En Passat
They could probably overload the circuitry to make it unusable. Or use like, IDK, mini explosives?
No less than 10 minutes, but no more than 45 minutes.
That actually might be amazing.
All to do what? Write emails and generate mediocre pictures?
The usefulness of AI currently is not much better than predictive text.
Pi-holes don’t even work on YouTube ads though because they’re served from the same domain as the videos. Can’t block YT ads that way without blocking the content.
Apparently Android TV Tools can help with this to install an alternative YT app if you have an Android TV, but I haven’t tried it.
Bunch of ostriches with their heads in the sand. They’ll regret voting Republican when their freedoms are taken away too.
Or they probably won’t because the mental gymnastics they do over there could probably win good at the Olympics.
It’s really not a wasted search, but I agree this is not the community for the post.
Project 2025 is the Republican’s plan to essentially dismantle government agencies, consolidate power to the president, and make the LGBT+ community illegal. Among many other fucked up things.
The introduction of the document is absolutely essential to read. It’s truly scary stuff.
Absolutely fucking STOMPED ON
Fuck me, that site is like a parody of itself.
Thanks to Elon Musk’s vision and leadership, Tesla has created tremendous value for you, the owners of the Company, all while advancing its mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.
It’s 1984 levels of brainwashing.
“Absolutely Terrifying”
Really? Did he watch the same video I saw on that page? That b-roll was really bad.
I get that it’ll only get better, but generative AI models will never understand filmmaking techniques because it can’t. That’s not how these models are built.
It can create a city skyline and pan right, but it’ll never know why a pan right in that scene was appropriate or how the lighting fits in with the rest of the scene. It’ll never come up with new ways of “filming” a scene, because it’s all built on what already exists. There’s no style to generative AI.
We need to require special licenses for those behemoths.
I’d prefer they get banned entirely because there’s really no practical use for them that isn’t solved by some other commercial vehicle.
