It was a response to me. Yeah I don’t really understand people who claim to have put a lot of effort into using Linux and then had to switch back after truly giving it a shot. Because that describes my experience with it 15 years ago. The improvements since then are enormous, yet people always seem to expect me to believe that in fact no, it’s not just a handful of issues/adjustments. It’s actually still unusable. I’m sure writing this makes me a monstrous vitriolic asshole but whatever. It doesn’t. We both know windows has a fuckton of issues. Being used to them doesn’t erase them.

Do you honestly think people who hate windows do it for no reason? I guarantee anyone who hates windows has used it for 10+ years and could easily list 20 legit complaints

The only thing I have that doesn’t work, actually smoother and faster than windows, is anti cheat in some games. But really that just makes me play less games with garbage business models. I can just reboot into windows any time but I do about once every 5 months because it’s a piece of shit

The data is very clear… Ads work. They absolutely shouldn’t almost ever, but they do. With the cornucopia of analytics available, companies have long been able to see if their ads work, and if they didn’t, they would’ve stopped long ago. Hell even before the Internet they had ways to prove ads work.

I find it funny how transparent everyone’s pro apple bias is in threads like this. I’m proud to say fuck apple every chance I get because they say fuck users every chance they get. And yes I know because I have them probably $8000 over the course of 10 years or so. I was all in until the iPhone came out and they returned to the “proprietary is the business model” Apple roots.

They don’t even try to embrace standards except in cases where it makes them money. Their entire mo is to erase the existence of standards if a buck can be made off of it. Apple being such anti consumer monopolistic pieces of shit being uncommonly recognized is pathetic and sad, and the perfect example of corporations being a negative influence on society.

There probably are people who died because they couldn’t charge their phone and couldn’t call an ambulance. And no I don’t care about Apple’s security theater or other talking points. All of it is bullshit
