Nice to see some more info on the changes. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on this.
They may as well rebrand it The Geoff and Kojima show.
This generation was the one where I intended on buying my first Xbox as well. I wasn’t going to get it at launch but I was interested enough to be willing to put the money down. However seeing how MS have progressed so far, the increasing push to cloud gaming, game rental and more has been increasingly off putting. It’s a shame as well because around launch I was excited by how beautifully engineered the Series X is.
No problem. I still have my account there but if I can avoid it then I will, so always prefer Nitter too. I also respect that there is content that others want to see without giving Twitter data and/or a click.
I loved playing these as a kid, not so much any since then, so I’m pretty excited for this to revisit some childhood moments.
It would seem so to me. When there’s a big disparity across the ratings - positive and negative are similar on metacritic with little in between - it raises a lot of red flags to me.
The whole argument really is strange and all speculation. There’s plenty of areas where FFXVI and SE arguably fell short, but even by this guys own admission in his edit, the game met projections. If they were expecting to “unlock more,” those projections would have been higher.
If you look at their recent financial report this seems to be nothing to do with FFXVI as sales in that “HD Gaming” and “Merchandise” area are up. Literally every other area is down, even MMO sales (FFXIV).
Whether people like the game or not, it seems to have helped prevent SE suffer from a worse dip.
I’ve had two Razer Naga mice over the years for playing FFXIV. It works really well, and the first I bought still actually works - I just wanted the swappable plates of the Naga Trinity for when I was playing other games. I find them really solid to be honest and would definitely buy a third if I need to.
I can’t really speak for other mice, as I’ve not used others.
I’m already comfortable not owning any Ubisoft games.
Seriously, I will be quite happy missing a game or franchise if there’s a lack of physical media in their lineup of releases. I know it doesn’t make sense for every game, but if it’s to push me towards a subscription service, then I’m just not going to be a customer.
