I still use spotify as well. It works for me, i just found like 10 new songs last week. At the same time, last year i listened 2hrs/day on average.
BUT at the same time, every few months i export my whole playlists, just in case, using this site.
Its not for everyone. Just like any other game.
One appeal of the souls-like games is having one difficulty only. It makes balancing much easier.
At the same time people can talk about the game, and actually be talking about the same game. With different difficulties games can change a lot.
Absolutely agree with the youtube subscription part. I am not giving them money if i can.
So what do I do? Patreon. I watch ad free, and i give 1 dollar a month instead on patreon. Win-win.

You know, it is literally pick your poison, google/alphabet is not a better company either.
But sadly there are people who have to use it, ex. Adobe softwares, enterprise usage etc… And yes you could dualboot, but the average why would even bother with it.
There is brave search, which seemed pretty good to me, even though i am using kagi search now. And to be honest, so far kagi seems really solid, and if you go past the fact that you have to pay for it (on most other search engines you are the product) then give it a try, the first 100 searches are free.
I really cant put it into words how much I hate google right now… Capitalism at its finest
