But I’m not too interested in walking place to place in negative degree or triple degree weather or paying thousands of dollars every year for a rental. Maybe if they made rentals more affordable, it’d make more sense for more people.

I’ll continue to pay extra for a large truck. Handling, strength, towing, hauling. I’m positive I’ll get mostly downvotes but it doesn’t make a difference, I’ll still be driving my truck dozens of miles commuting every day! 9-12 MPG, pure diesel baby!

• Handling & Enjoyment: I enjoy having something bigger, it handles great.
• Strength: It’s not gonna total out going thru a fence or hitting a deer. (Confirmed)
• Towing, Hauling/Payload: No rentals needed. Summer time fun with the boat, coolers, off roading, camping and so forth. Helpful to friends, saves them a buck. Great for work too. Oh and saving all the smaller cars who got stuck in the winter time, literally saving lives.

Yeah, that’s possible. I’m more worried about a built in battery chip preventing users from sharing batteries, like once it’s installed, it’s activated and it’s locked to that device. Meaning you’d have to buy only from that manufacture and the price will be higher.

Although I think it’s too expensive, this is why we need frame.work to make a phone too (or any company to do this). Great idea, good products, their markup just seems too high imo.

Not a bad idea but there are flaws and this also doesn’t seem to address the issue of pricing or availability.

• They could prevent 3rd parties from making batteries that work.
• They could just not sell battery replacements.
• They could add more parts needed, like seals, screws that strip too easily, that annoying sticky tape etc.

Yes, it’s powerful but it has downsides. Why pay for processing when you can just have the end-user do it? I just disallow all JavaScript and give permissions to sites one by one.

A lot of it is for tracking anyways and now most sites use it for styling and animations meaning it’s unusable without allowing JS. Of course I use JS, it’s useful and powerful but in the wrong hands it’s dangerous and no matter what website you go to the JS is ran automatically. Maybe your AV might catch it but that also requires $$ that most personal end users don’t spend.
