Imagine if they had instead hired 500,000 people on $100,000 each. They could have bought the entire city of Detroit and had it making Teslas, instead they’ve got one coked up narcissist.

All future AI will have autocorrect errors and will look like no one read it before hitting enter. You’re welcome.
I have young kids and recently learned what Roblox actually is. My kids will never be allowed to spend a cent on that. I am happy to buy them suitable games.
If only the phone operating system allowed you to load applications from somewhere other than the official app store. Someone should make a phone that does that.
Arc has really changed the way I expect a desktop browser to work now. It’s kind of annoying when I go back to Firefox on my PC now.
For Mac I use ARC browser. It’s a bit different in UI than most browsers but it does some things I really like. It’s heavily optimised for keyboard commands, and it has separate “spaces” which you can create and define (e.g. personal, work, etc).
Also cigarettes in Australia. They’re not banned, obviously, they’re just taxed so high that hardly anyone smokes them anymore. I’m probably a bit sheltered, but I’m genuinely surprised when I see someone smoking an actual cigarette now.
I have over 100k comment karma (and much less post) and got an invite. It’s meaningless anyway as I am not a US citizen.
Exactly. It might be that the content they own (that we have them) is worth enough for them to be profitable, but I’m not going to put money down now based on something that might happen later. They’re not a startup, they’ve been operating nearly 20 years!
That’s a valid use of Cat5 cable.
I also live in Australia and I think you’re forgetting what 99% of vehicles are used for. I can’t even remember the last time I was more than 50km from a fuel station.
My $200 Motorola came with a 68w charger which is quite frankly ludicrous for a phone, and I prefer to use the slow charger so I don’t heat and damage my battery unless I’m in a hurry (and my phone always lasts a whole day of heavy use so I’m almost never in a hurry to charge)
Yes, that’s why I’m still driving my model T Ford, because I’m waiting for the next big thing.
Nothing says marketing genius like throwing away one of the most recognisable brands in the industry and replacing it with “X”
I disagree. I don’t think a rich text editor should be part of the OS as it’s not there to operate the computer. An OS should be the tools to run applications and manage your computer. There are a bunch of apps which are so small that it makes sense to include them - like a calculator and text editor, but everything else should be optional.
Self driving cars are republicans?
Proper ride sharing would be awesome. It’s love if I could come to work by using an app to find someone going the same way as me and getting a lift.
They work in tech, promotions are achieved by moving employers. Internal mobility is always terrible in tech companies.
