Look at this guy, who has never had to start a diesel engine when it’s -20°F outside.

I remember the school buses in one high school I went to running on propane. It’s not as clean as electric, but it’s cleaner than diesel… and at the time, an electric school bus would have been expensive, if not outright science fiction.
I couldn’t imagine the stress of knowing what I know now and being sent back to when I was six years old. I’d be trapped with my parents.
I’d take the money. My wife is amazing, and we are very happy together, but a lot of things had to fall just right for us to end up together.
I have everything lying around to build one of these…
The last time I made anything like a profile for tinder was when I made one for PoF back in the before times, in the long-long ago, the year 2007. I didn’t have fish pictures, but I did have a picture of me riding a unicycle.
It was more effective than I expected.
I have a K1 and was wondering if it would be mentioned. In the beginning I had extrusion problems, I contacted Creality and they had new, redesigned parts in my hand in a week. Since then it has been a workhorse, slapping perfect prints down every time.
Jerry Pournelle’s “CoDominium” books work like this. The ships are FTL, but can only use the FTL drive at a certain point to leave a system. There isn’t a way to send messages faster than light, other than a ship. There is mention of “message sloops” which are small ships with high acceleration wich can move from the jump point to the inner system faster than one of the battleships.
It could be that you and I are searching for different subjects. I typically am looking for parts for something, and various parts suppliers (cars, industrial equipment, forklifts) have SEO’ed themselves to the top of the list even though they dont have what you searched for.
We already have “flying cars”. They’re called helicopters, and you need training and a license to fly them. Just like you’ll need for this thing and just like you need for a normal road-going car.
Google is almost useless as a search engine and i haven’t used it for over a year.
Yes they are. I found a 3m cable once, but it was too long and would get tangled.
Or at least posting their address for everyone? Or posting an insider’s guide on how to game the insurance company.
Unlike gas cars, which every single fire department in the US has been dealing with for over 100 years, electric cars need different equipment to put them out. Not all fire departments have the stuff on hand for battery fires. In 20 years this will probably change.
I have a 3D printer, and a Suzuki Samurai. More than a few parts for the 35 year old Suzuki have been printed by me.
$42,000 rear bumper
Yikes! Are you supposed to just throw the truck away when someone hits it?
In my state the minimum legal auto insurance coverage is something like $25k per vehicle. So it’s very possible, at least here, that your rivian gets a parking lot bump from Jim-Bob in his 30 year old Civic, and his insurance just won’t cover it. And if he’s driving around in a car that’s old enough to run for congress that’s covered by minimum liability, Jim-Bob probably doesn’t have any money you could sue him for. I doubt they would garnish wages over a traffic accident, either.
Sure, let me just fork over 80k for a truck from a company that’s been building cars for only a couple of years.
My next vehicle will likely be electric, but right now my wife and I have decent cars that still run, and are paid for, and I’m reluctant to waste money replacing something that still works.
The prices a lot of manufacturers are asking for these pieces of shit are astronomical
This is one of the reasons I haven’t bought an E-bike yet. You can buy a road-legal motorcycle for the price of some E-bikes. It’s just too much for what they are.
I hate when I buy something and I get emails hassling me about a review for weeks afterwards. I normally 1-star all pushy reviews, but if they’re just farming for data… I’m going to start using my “other” email when making purchases.
I like this
I’m reminded of Bender:
“This isn’t even about you”
“That’s impossible!”
