I like how the vehicles match the drivers: the mice driving the cheese mobile, the dog driving the hot dog mobile. etc.

I love the Richard Scarey books. My favorite was. “What Do People Do All Day.”
The book would should things like how electricity is made or how to build a house. It would show all the plumbing, heating and electric, with little arrows to show which way things went. It taught me how to look beneath the surface of things and wonder how and why things worked.
It’s not about the gays vs straights or blacks vs whites or the Romulans vs The Federation. It’s about the billionaires vs everybody else. It’s a class war. It aways has been. And life is never going to improve for most of us until we figure out where the REAL source of our pain comes from. Like George Carlin once said:
“That’s the way the ruling class works in any society. They keep the lower and middle classes fighting with each other so that they . . . the rich . . . can run off with all the f*cking money.”
This is going to be a great year for indie games. (Currently playing, “Techtonica.”)
But what about the billionaires? Who’s helping them out, huh?
Techtonica is early access and looks like it’s going to be amazing.
The real problem is old companies like EA and Bethesda releasing crap on Launch Day and expecting its customers to be its beta testers for the next couple of years while they slowly patch the game into a playable state. (Or not. Why should they care? They got your money.)
The purpose of language is to reveal and convey meaning and thought. Euphemisms and euphemistic language are designed to control how you talk about certain subjects and consequently, how you think about them. People who try to control how you think NEVER have anyone’s “best interests” in mind but their own.
Don’t let other people tell you how to manage your own head.
And the “liberal news media” controls all the information. You know, that media that is all owned by about six corporations.
Look up “news consolidation” sometime. In the 1980s, all the news outlets were ultimately owned by about 30-40 companies.
If YouTube stops working, it won’t be the end of streaming video. Thousands of porn sites manage to do it. It may take several years, but something else will come along to take YouTube’s place. In the meantime, we will have other stuff to do.
21st century Windows developer: “Hey! You know what people REALLY want in a text-based Office Suite? VERY very light gray text on a white background!”
It’s like Windows is devolving into really, REALLY early Linux, where a single Control Panel application is broken up into a half dozen separate parts and scattered throughout the interface in a dozen separate sub-sub-sub menus.
You should NOT have to hunt for the “print” button in a freaking word processor.
Of course it’s a mystery. An honest discussion about why orphan-crushing machines need to exist would lead to an honest discussion about where your society’s pain really comes from.
And the owner class doesn’t want that discussion to happen. Because it would come out that they don’t pay their fair share of the tax burden, which would keep orphan-crushing machines from existing in the first place.
I heard the ending of “Titanic” was very sad. But then, Leonardo DiCaprio dies and we got a happy ending after all!
Besides the fact that he’s dead.
Google’s search engine has gotten lazy, with the first dozen or more hits being YouTube and Reddit results.
“It is our most modestly-priced disposal method.”
“A streaming service only has the second season of a show”
The “rival” streaming service that has the first season of the show is owned by the same corporation so it can double-dip viewers on subscription fees.
I prefer to call them “19th century robber barons” who yearn for the days of company towns, where they would own you from cradle to grave.
Windows only pretends to let you be the administrator, until Microsoft wants to do something shitty to you.
Linux actually makes you the administrator, so any screw ups are on you.
